Reservations for Disneyland Tokyo Hotels open four months in advance, starting at 11 AM Japan time. You can find more information on the Official Tokyo Disney Resort website. Popular themed rooms can be challenging to book, so if you miss out, keep refreshing the page throughout the day to catch cancellations. Once booked, a deposit of ¥30,000 is required, except for moderate and value rooms, which require a ¥15,000 deposit. The remaining balance can be paid at the hotel.

It’s a good idea to practice the booking process in advance if you know which specific hotel and themed room you want. Not all credit cards may be accepted, so have multiple cards ready in case of issues. I successfully used my Wise (affiliate link) credit card on the first attempt. If you encounter problems with your cards, you can also book through Klook (affiliate link).

Room prices vary widely based on the theme and type, so check the official website for the most current rates. Note that the Fantasy Springs Hotel is the newest addition and officially opened on June 6, 2024.

Staying at a Disney Resort hotel comes with several perks beyond just enjoying the charming atmosphere. Key benefits include early park access with Happy Entry, allowing you to enter the park 15 minutes before other guests, and guaranteed park admission for each day of your stay, even if tickets are sold out on the Tokyo Disney Resort Official Website.

During our trip in April 2024, the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel was eligible for Happy Entry at both Disneyland and DisneySea. Be sure to check the official website for any updates or changes regarding happy entry.

In terms of location, the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is closer to Disneyland, while MiraCosta is located next to DisneySea. When we stayed at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, we used the convenient shuttle service to travel to DisneySea, which departs from just outside the hotel.

Tokyo Disneyland Hotel

We opted for the Alice in Wonderland-themed room at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, as mentioned in my previous post on our Japan 14-Day Itinerary. While not the most budget-friendly choice, this hotel offers spacious family-sized rooms. When we finally arrived at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, we were immediately captivated by its grandeur and luxurious atmosphere. The majestic structure and stunning entrance left us in awe. The Alice in Wonderland-themed room exceeded our expectations, with every detail impeccably designed, making our stay truly magical.

The hotel features a convenience store inside the building and a Disney Store located in the side wing. We typically grabbed breakfast from the convenience store and ate while waiting in line for the park each morning.

• Tin containing cotton swabs, a hair tie, and cotton pads
• Slippers
• Pyjamas (children’s sizes available upon request by calling the front desk)

Everything except the pyjamas is complimentary and can be taken home.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel for its close proximity to the parks and overall convenience. We would definitely return, perhaps to experience a different themed room or even another hotel within Disneyland. For instance, MiraCosta offers the unique advantage of watching DisneySea’s fireworks right from your room, as long as you have a room with the ideal view. Happy planning, and enjoy your trip!
